1) Mosquito eggs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After feeding on blood, the female mosquito lays her eggs quickly, usually within 48 hours<\/strong> of feeding. The eggs are very small, measuring less than 1 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where are the eggs laid?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The laying site depends on the species of mosquito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tiger mosquito prefers very small areas of stagnant water<\/strong> such as saucers under flower pots, swimming pool covers, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The common mosquito (Culex pipiens) lays its eggs directly on the surface of the water<\/strong>, often grouped together in small floating rafts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
