It is caused by a bacterium called <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Borrelia_burgdorferi\">Borrelia burgdorferi<\/a>. After a bite, the bacterium can enter the body and cause various symptoms, which usually appear a few days to a few weeks later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main sign is the appearance of a <strong>ring-shaped red rash<\/strong> <strong>around the bite site<\/strong>, known as erythema migrans.
