The project
Everyday insects and pests now affect every household in Switzerland, France and around the world. From bed bugs to mosquitoes, ticks, moths, ants, silverfish, lice and many others, they have a lasting impact on our well-being, our sleep, our homes and, above all, our health. With global warming and the proliferation of the tiger mosquito and ticks carrying diseases such as Lyme disease, we are increasingly confronted with these issues, which have become a genuine challenge for public health and quality of life.
Faced with this resurgence and the lack of truly effective, sustainable and plant-based solutions on the market, the Swiss laboratory Sereni-d® is committed to researching plant-based active ingredients and developing high-performance, concentrated formulations that are gentler on people and the environment. Originally specialising in the control of bed bugs, Sereni-d® is now expanding its expertise to cover other everyday pests in order to provide long-term support and protection for individuals, families and professionals. The laboratory uses more than 15 plants and plant-based active ingredients to develop innovative solutions against pests and the nuisance they cause.
Our history
It was following several memorable experiences in GR20 mountain huts in Corsica with bed bugs, then in an Airbnb flat in Montreal, Canada, and in an office in Geneva, that the idea for Sereni-d® gradually took shape. Noting the lack of truly effective, sustainable and plant-based solutions against everyday insects and pests, as well as the significant impact of these infestations on well-being and quality of life, Marine Falconnet decided in 2021 to set up the Swiss laboratory Sereni-d® to develop high-performance alternatives to support and protect both private individuals and professionals. Initially specialising in the control of bed bugs, Sereni-d® is now expanding its expertise to other common pests such as mosquitoes, ticks, lice, moths, ants and silverfish. The solutions developed by the laboratory combine real-world effectiveness, scientific innovation and plant-based ingredients. Today, more than 250,000 families place their trust in Sereni-d®.
